At the end of the 143rd season of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, the Latvian composer Jānis Mediņš and the great masters of German symphonic music Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms will come together in one programme.

The special guest of the concert is going to be the internationally recognized Latvian cellist Margarita Balanas, who will perform the Concerto for Cello and Orchestra by Robert Schumann. It is known for its lyrical and emotional character and a virtuoso cello part. The Cello Concerto is one of the last works Schumann wrote before his mental health deteriorated rapidly. This work has influenced many other composers of cello concertos, such as Camille Saint Saëns and Antonin Dvořák. It has become one of the cellist repertoire classics and has been frequently performed at various concerts and festivals around the world.

The musical circus performance I HATE THAT THEY EAT TOO LOUD shows young people reflecting on the world around them. Small trivial things take up most of our day, but, for a teenager, ordinary and familiar things are often the root of conflict with those around us. It is hard to bear when someone near us is eating too loud, taking our things and clothes, listening to loud music or showing off in a silly way when strangers are around.

The performance is made up of four pieces of music, created by composers Linda Leimane, Krists Auznieks, Platons Buravickis, and Santa Ratniece. They are performed and reflected in four scenes by five circus artists and five musicians.

This year's first Liepaja restaurant week will take place for ten days, two weekends - from April 12 to 21, and 23 different Liepaja catering companies will participate in it.

In order to update the offer of local hospitality companies as the summer season approaches, during the April Liepāja Restaurant Week you will be able to enjoy not only a diverse food offer, but also get to know the city's restaurant and cafe offer as a whole.

Chefs of restaurants and cafes have developed special menus to provide guests with something that has not been on the daily menu until now.

The offer of the restaurant week will consist of a multi-course meal, it will be possible to enjoy different tastes and new variations that have not been enjoyed before.

As a thoughtful vision of a romantic, emotional and musical journey in a time machine to the 90s, the 100Debija concert program DIMANTI IR will be performed at Culture House Wiktorija in Liepāja.

How she loves me, The secret, The ocean of delights, It's a miracle, I don't have diamonds and many other 100Debija's best songs, choreographed on stage by dancers from several original lines, will be performed at the concert, which will end with an authentic 90s led by the legendary DJ Japānis year disco.

The approximately two-hour long concert program DIMANTI IR! scheduled start at 21:00, but when the concert ends, the official DJ of 100Debijas concert tour - DJ Japānis will entertain you in the disco with the brightest hits of the 90s.

100Debija - those are the great 90s in Latvian dance music, which continues into the XXI century.
